the german-indonesian guitarist and sonic explorer, ardhi engl,
is travelling in between the scales on homemade instruments, built from ordinary things like tubes and hoses from the hardware store, badminton rackets, a guitar without strings and other obscurities.
cosima pitz is very happy for having been in the studio with him,
experiencing ardhi, his child-like curiousity and pleasure for what there is arising, just for the moment — rarely, he is recording his improvisations of fleeting music – so this might be a premiere, which is capturing one aspect of this wonderful musician and person.
